I identified with what you wrote, and, guess, I live in San Diego, CA, a lovely city to many (especially all those immigrants from back east and many from foreign lands), which may be why what you wrote touched a deep relevancy in me. They have taken this city and made it alien to me, even evil and fearsome. To walk in fear in your native land is not a good reflection on that land.

Wow I guess you have never been poor in the U.S. because no one can afford to own a home here either and there are millions of people wandering in from the vast neverlands of the U.S. to the giant cities to find jobs with that same look and desperation but Giant corporations and those same fancy suited guys are just doing fine everywear, Those same people without identity. With no name, just a number (unemployment number) are everywhere and Chinas modern economy is 50-60 years old ours 200 try and find a brighter side of the art world I have lots of friends and business associates that go in and out of China and Beijing and have quite a different tune.
